Abstract:Main research achievements in recent ten years on precipitation (humidity) variation in last 2000 years in West China are presented by means of various kinds of paleoclimatic proxy records, which include ice cores, lacustrine sediment, loess sediment, tree rings and speleothern. The precipitation (humidity) climatic series in West China from proxy records are summarized, and the methods to build climatic series and their resolutions are introduced in detail.
