Abstract:
As the realtime meteorological monitoring network is used more and more widely and intensively, it is necessary to design a remote meteorological data acquisition system based on GPRS Network. The GPRS network has the following advantages: wide coverage, realtime online, high quality communication and low maintenance costs. The structure and functions of the system are introduced, and its longrange monitoring terminal hardware configuration is described in detail, with the focuses on the relevant circuit chip use, and the programming of relevant application software by means of Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0. The application of this system in practice is also discussed .
