Abstract:
With a large area of forest, Linfen is one of fireprone regions in Shaanxi Province. Using the meteorological and forestfire data from 1986 to 2003, an analysis is made of the relation between forestfire occurrence and meteorological conditions, fire hazard conditions, and forest moisture content. The synthesis forecast index of forest fire risk is calculated, and a synthesis multifactor fire risk forecast equation is established. The application proved that it has satisfactory effectiveness and certain capability of forest fire forecasting and early warning.
