Abstract:The meteorological information displaying on a spherical screen has a strong three dimensional sense, and it has great application prospects in multiple industries. Based on the meteorological data of the China Meteorological Administration, the Global Earth Observation display system software is developed for the first time, and the system has put into operation and performs stably. The core technology of the system and the system design and implementation of image processing are described. Image processing includes two steps: image enhancement and image distortion. Image enhancement processing enhances the image display that contains a large amount of meteorological information. Through the geometric image distortion correction, the metrological data are projected onto a spherical screen. In this system, after image processing, global observational data can be displayed properly on the spherical screen in the manner of seamless and no distortion. The system can help people experience the planet and living environment from the perspective of the space.
