Abstract:Using the data observed by a laser raindrop spectrometer, the raindropsize distribution characteristics of mixedcloud precipitation of Shandong in 29 August 2009 are analyzed. It is found that precipitation intensity is decided by the maximum diameter, and correlated positively with the density of raindrops, having week relationship with the average diameter. In the precipitation, the raindrop sizes show bimodal and multipeak distribution mainly, with the peak around 0.5 mm. The temporal variations of the fitted Gammadistribution parameters are slow and have consistent tendencies. The relationship between radar echo intensity and rain intensity is set up.
