Abstract:The uncertainty of calibration results for secondclass standard mercury thermometers directly influences the delivered results of temperature quantity values. According to the related standards of temperature instruments, the uncertainty of calibration results for a set of standard thermometers is evaluated by the method of JJF10591999 (Evaluation and Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement), on the basis of temperature measuring principles, calibration methods, components of the uncertainty, and the calibration data of the secondclass standard mercury thermometers in 2007. Based on the calibration results, a set of error analyzing procedures and methods are devised, which provide an example of error analysis for provincelevel metrological service.
