Abstract:The compress principle of FM94 BUFR codes and the information structure and software structure of the BUFR encoder/decoder software are discussed in accordance with the globe exchange requirement of meteorological observation data in the development of FY2 (02) Application System Project. Taking the encoding of the wind field data derived from FY2C satellite cloud images as an example, the detail information of Section 3 and Section 4 of FY2C atmospheric motion vectors is introduced. The encoded results indicate that the BUFR encoder has considerable high data compression ratio and is suitable for data transmission.
