Abstract:To provide the information for further researches, a review is given on researches on the relationship between meteorological factors and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in China since 1998. These studies show that meteorological factors, such as temperature, relative humidity, air pressure, wind speed, etc., affect, more or less, the mortality and morbidity of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Limitations and problems existed in the past researches and developmental trends are discussed. It is pointed out that new research and prediction methods for the mortality and morbidity of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are needed in the further studies.
